Reopening of the Church following securing and demarcation of the place
Visit of the church and the chapel of St Roch, “Enluminure” (in the chapel)
On Wednesday 20 and 27 July, this date is cancelled and will be rescheduled
Classified as a Historic Monument since 1915, the Sainte-Trinité church that we are proposing you to discover, dates from the 12th century. It is thus a precious testimony of the Romanesque religious architecture of Haute-Provence. Then the visit will continue with the neighbouring chapel dedicated to Saint Roch, a saint who protected against epidemics. The chapel was built between 1629 and 1630, when Provence experienced yet another plague epidemic. Indeed, between the 14th and 17th centuries, at least one plague epidemic occurred per century.
Due to the heat wave, on July 20th, the visits will be from 9:30 to 11:30 am and from 5:00 to 7:30 pm

L’ENLUMINURE
Brigitte CHAMBON, Enlumineur of France, will help you discover this Sacred Art of the Middle Ages.
Church of Saint Trinit on Sundays 29 May and 26 June from 10 am to 6 pm.
The word “enluminure” comes from the Latin “illuminare” which means <<to bring to light>>. This Sacred Art of the Middle Ages refers to both the art of decorating manuscripts and the decoration itself. Since the Middle Ages, the history of the book is inseparable from that of our Western civilisation. The written word appears as an indispensable element for the transmission of culture.

Cet tombola a pour but d’aider au financement de travaux de restauration et de la sauvegarde de notre église.
Les Bons de participations à retirer au Bistrot ou sur la fête au stand “Les Amis de l’Église et du Patrimoine de Saint Trinit” et une fois remplis, ils seront déposés dans l’urne sur notre stand.
De nombreux et très beaux lots seront à gagner.
